A little bit about me:

Well let's see. I'm a 24 year old web developer from Chicago, IL. I graduated from Augustana College in 2006 with a Bachelor's in Computer Science. I went to work for Motorola as a software engineer, but after a year and a half, I found that that wasn't the direction I wanted to be heading.

I decided to go back to school to specialize in a more specific field of computer science, and chose DePaul University's Master's degree of Computer Graphics and Motion Technology. But after a year and a half of that (notice a pattern?), I realized that I was falling back into the software developing again, exactly what I had gone to school to steer away from. So I halted my studies for the time being, allowing myself to focus on building the skills that I really wanted to learn: web development.

I think it's safe to say that my eagerness to learn about web technology was fueled by my new job as a web admin at Sandstorm Design here in Chicago. After working part time at Motorola for bit while going to school, I decided that I needed a job that would point me in more of the direction I wanted to see m life heading. After some scouring of the wanted ads, I found Sandstorm, and it turned out to be a perfect fit. I've been there since October of 2007, and I've loved every day of it.

That about sums up my professional and academic careers thus far, but leaves a bit to be desired about the actual person: Bryan Dunk. I believe that above all, I am a musician. Playing music is the one thing that always makes me happy, regardless of anything else happening around me. I'm currently in a band, The Catch A Tiger, in which I play the drums. I am also a singer songwritter with my trusty accoustic guitar, and just released an EP under the name Dark Bunny.

Outside of music, I'm a pretty big video game fan, and I love fantasy novels. I enjoy riding my Honda Metropolitan around the streets of Chicago, and I'm busy working my way through all the almost too sleazy bars Chicago has to offer.
